Scam : Paid Email Reading
I got this from one of my email sent by a friend who had been spammed and scammed from said "paid email by reading commercial survey or advertisements." I just had this modified (those colored red).
It amazes me each day that I go on the Internet and see some of the stuff that's out there. Poor unsuspecting people being taken in by just about every scheme imaginable, is enough to make me just shake my head in disgust.
The sad part is, some of the stuff out there sounds so goot! I should know! When I first started trying to make a living on the internet, I feel for just about every scheme you could think of. I have since learned from a lot of painful and costly experiences!
With most of these schemes, there are a few people at the top who do make money, mostly the program owners and founds. But with a lot of these schemes, nobody makes any money including the program owners who eventually go out of business.
Tragically, there's always somebody else out there who's coming out with yet another scheme to make a buck. They put up this fancy page, promise people the world, and wait for the suckes to come flocking to the slaughter. Waiting for regulation to get rid of these crooks in pointless. The only thing that is going to stop them is education.
So without any further delay... let's move on to some of those programs that you will want to stay away from.
1. PAID TO READ EMAILS
Let's get this over with now! This type of scheme could be the worst ever. And, they just don't go away! Maybe it's because of the ease of doing these things and the insane amounts of money that they claim you will make!
PAID TO READ EMAILS FOR WORK SOMETHING LIKE THIS:
You register with the company (Some even tell you that upon registration you already earn credit of 10 dollars.)
Each day they send you a number of emails to read. Actually they are ads that you can either read from your own email account or from their website.
For each email you read (link you click) you get paid. And therein lies the rub.
The sites that claim they pay these insane amounts of money per email read (I've actually seen amounts as high as $5000 per email) simply DON'T PAY! You can request payment all you like. Half will grow on door knobs before you're out whatever money you paid to join and all the money you thought you were getting.
The sites that DO pay are just not worth joining. Why? Because the amounts they pay per email read are so minuscule that it will take you forever before you see an amount of money that even resembles an income.
For example, one site, which is actually a legit site that pays, requires you to read 100 mails to earn 1 penny. That's right, 1 penny! So, in order to earn $1, you have to read 10,000 emails. The site usually gives you about 20 emails to read daily. That means it would take 500 days to make $1.
So, how do you make money with this company! By selling paid memberships to people. The paid memberships probably offer a higher payout rate, which they can now afford since you're paying for membership. But the only way you actually make any real money is to refer others. SO in essence, paid to read email sites turn out to be nothing more than glorified pyramid schemes. But because they offer pay for work, they get away with this.
Take this as simple arithmetic, if you do not believe me, try jumping in to the water with rope tied around your waist so you can pull yourself out whenever you wanted to. Take a note each day you receive your so-called "get paid to read emails", the date and time. In a week or a month, count the number of emails that come into your inbox, look at the frequency how often and how many you have received. Look at the amount of money you have earned from their report. Then you will understand how far before you can earn your dollar and how long before you get a payout. Your coffee should be cold before it arrives.
One of the "behind the door" reason for this, their purpose, is they are making you surf their sites to earn "ranking credits" without you knowing. When they increase in ranks, they get highlighted in google page ranking and alexa rank reports.
This is scheme isn't quite as popular as it was years ago. Some sites are moving away from the paid to read email slant and moving towards the "get paid to take offer" slant. Basically the way this work is, you take an offer, like a free trial of some service and they pay you a few dollars to take that offer.
The problem with these programs is that you have to keep track of your offers because they automatically turn into offers that charge you after a certain period of time. So you have to cancel them before this happens. Some of them make it very difficult to cancel. That's why it's best to stay away from these "paid to programs."
